New Contract for Unique Dating Website!

We are very excited as we have recently won a pitch to create a website for a totally unique dating business called The Icebreaker.

We beat off firm competition from both London and Bournemouth web design companies to win the design, creation and maintenance contract for this dating website. It will feature a full SQL database backend combined with our StrawberrySystem content management system to allow The Icebreaker team to update their new website.

We plan to launch the new website in November 2006, so keep posted and we will add the web design portfolio page as soon as the site goes live!

Bournemouth University features Strawberrysoup

We have recently been approached by Bournemouth University, who wanted to write a profile on us in their “graduates profile” section of their main website. They chose us as we are previous students from Bournemouth University and due to the fact that they wanted to give an both current and potential students an overview into the types of graduates that the University attracts.

Stephen Lawrence Clothing

We are proud to launch our latest website for Chichester based Clothes Shop, Stephen Lawrence Clothing.

Stephen Lawrence have two clothing shops in Chichester town centre, one concentrating on the latest fashions for ladies, and the other for men. They stock a wide range of the latest brands including Hugo Boss, Sand, Stones, Strellson and Duchamp.

They approached us as they had seen the work that we had done with Blush Photography, and wanted a new web presence to replace their current, out-dated website. We designed their new site using a combination of CSS and XHTML and chose to have both menswear and ladiewears on the one site, to aid navigation between the two.

Polytronics Website Launch

Wow – what a month! We have been working hard on the website for this Electronics Design business based in Emsworth, and we are pleased to say that it is now launched and online.

Since its formation in 1985 Polytronics has built an enviable reputation for innovative design achievement within time and cost targets. Projects range from simple printed circuit board assemblies through to the design of complete products.
Polytronics approached us as they wanted a fully content managed website and has seen our CMS in action on a previous clients’ website. Their new website includes a project gallery, updateable news section and all pages fully amendable using our StrawberrySystem.

Strawberrysoup Featured in Practical Web Design

We are pleased to announce that our website has been featured in September’s edition of Practical Web Design!

Our website is located within their site review section, and they are more than complentary stating that our website “is a well designed and attractive commercial website”. They continue by saying that they “can’t knock the bright, cheery homepage image, it’s great!”.

Chichester Park Hotel Gets Optimised!

Chichester Park Hotel is a beautiful hotel in Chichester has recently been taken over by new management, who had decided that a great way to reach clients would be online. They had just got a new website from another design agency, and approached us to search engine optmise and market it online.

We chose to initially use sponsored advertising through Google and its related search network to drive traffic instantly after the new website was launched – which gave us time to concentrate on a search engine marketing plan for the longer term.

DiViNe Curtains and Blinds Website Launch

DiViNe Curtains and Blinds are based in Selsey near Chichester and specialise in making the highest quality handmade curtains, roman blinds and soft furnishings.

Their initial brief was to design, create and host a contemporary looking website that was fully search engine optimised. We choose to add a range of product and service related pages onto their new website as well as the option for those clients that already know what they want to order roman blinds online.

Their new website is fully hosted with Strawberrysoup and has been created using CSS, XHTML and is fully accessible over a number of devices.

Travel and Insure Launches

Travel and Insure is a new company specialising in providing very competitive travel insurance to individuals, couples and family’s. They approached us as they had seen the other websites that we had created and wanted a fully automated online quoting system for travel insurance so that customers could create quotes, retrieve quotes and purchase affordable travel insurance online.
We developed the system using PHP and a MySQL database backend. The end result is a website that can be updated by site administrators whenever they want without the need to contact us each and every time. As with all of the websites that we develop, Travel and Insure is fully validated, and complies with all the guidelines set out by the Disability Discrimination Act and rules made by the FSA.
