Jenny Kimmis Goes Live

December 6, 2006

As a freelance writer and editor in Chichester specialising in international development, economics and politics, Jenny’s approach is to communicate complex ideas in a clear and engaging way. With more than ten years experience working in development and economics, Jenny offers a range of services including writing, copy editing, Spanish to English translation and publication project management.

Before turning freelance in 2004 she worked as a university researcher, a policy adviser for a development NGO and as an analyst in the private sector. With an MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Sussex (IDS) and recent editorial training, Jenny Kimmis provides a all round high level of service to all her clients.

Jenny approached Strawberrysoup with simple requirements and a clear understanding of preferred layout and content. With this in mind we were able to fit the website into our affordable StrawberrySite Business Package.

theIcebreaker Gains National Coverage!

December 1, 2006

We are delighted to say that one day after launching our latest website – a unique dating website called theIcebreaker, they received nationwide press coverage in The Daily Record & The Express, as well as a breakfast time radio interview on Ireland’s leading radio station, Beat 102 103 and also Radio 2!

TheIcebreaker is a feature rich website, allowing users to register online, purchase their dating subscription and add their unique dating profile online. The users then distribute their “Icebreaker” cards, which state the users unique nickname and passcode. If someone is interested, they can accept a date online, and theIcebreaker will organise it.

We developed the website using fully valid XHTML, CSS and ASP with a SQL database backend which is setup to store all of the user and website data.

Two New Websites for Chic Beauty Salon

December 1, 2006

Chic Beauty Salon in Bournemouth approached us as they had a previous website, however they felt that it did not effectively show potential clients what they had to offer, and they wanted the additional facility of selling their Dermalogica products online with a 20% discount.

Chic Beauty Salon E-Commerce Website

We chose to redesign their whole website and start again from scratch with a valid & accessible layout and code. The design is simple and effective, with some additional Flash animation on each page to entertain the end user whilst browsing.

Their e-commerce website allows Chic Beauty Salon to sell all of their Dermalogica and Ingrow-Go online both nationally and internationally.
